Butterfly Release

As many of you know, this past Saturday we attended a Butterfly Release out at the statue. It was a spectacular morning here in Colorado, as the entire event was. We all received a Monarch Butterfly to release after all the names of the children were read by Corinne, the founder of Rowan Tree Foundation. It was beautiful to watch all the butterflies on their new journey in life, kind of like what I've been going through these past few months. An incredibly difficult journey that I still do not know why I was chosen to go on.

My friend Jill brought two red roses for her twins and a gerber daisy for Jillian, she passed the flowers out to her entire family and mine as well. It was so touching, as we both always leave a flowers at the statue when we visit.

To end the celebration, we all headed over the the Pinery Country Club and enjoyed a wonderful brunch. It was nice to sit out on the patio and chat with family and friends, and every now and again catch a glimpse of a Monarch butterfly fluttering by.
